Scrimshaw Whale with Nautilus and Seadragon

A humpback whale swims on brass rods over a hand-turned rimu base. The nautical designs are etched into the unfired clay and inked into the whale skin in scrimshaw fashion. This whale features a leafy seadragon, a chambered nautilus, and a nautical compass and sits over a base of native NZ rimu timber sourced from the remains of the Hitchman's homestead in Te Pahu.
Only available within New Zealand.
