Raylene
On her birth certificate, Raylene is officially listed as “Jolene Raylene McLean”, named by her mum during her Country and Western obsession after the song by Dolly Parton, “Jolene,” about a wily woman who keeps stealing another woman’s man. Raylene hated the name and hated the sentiment behind it even more. At least she has an acceptable middle name to revert to. Not so for her younger brother Hewlett Packard McLean, named when their mum had just bought their first computer and was obsessed with printing and laminating. Still, the youngest, Tesla Starlink McLean, has it worst.
Raylene is also an articulated ceramic wall puppet and he is modelled by hand in stoneware clay, twice fired, decorated with ceramic glazes, and finished with a cold glaze. She is approximately 32 cm long, and can hang on the wall by nail, hook or tack.
